Technology for revamping amine
sweetening process
The increase of organic sulfur compounds in
sulfur and amine wastewater increases the difficulty for
amine sweetening. Current amine sweetening system mostly
combines amine crystallizing and sulfur removing, but is
not efficient in removing all organic sulfur compounds
from the by-product ammonia, resulting poor quality for
the ammonia. To
address this problem, FRIPP carried out optimization and
revamp for the tri-stage condensation system and the
amine crystallizer, and is developing efficient
desulfurizer that has high organic sulfur removing
activity. At the same time, an analysis method has been
developed for determining the contents of hydrogen
sulfide and organic sulfur in
ammonia.
