Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement on August 30, 2006 to start an anti-dumping investigation on the imported Bisphenol A originating from Japan, ROK, Singapore and Taiwan Region (hereinafter referred to as the investigated products).
In accordance with Article 24 of Anti-dumping Regulations of People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce made the preliminary arbitration that dumping of the investigated products had taken place, which had caused material injury to mainland China’s industry and there was a casual relationshi p between the dumping and the injury.
The Bisphenol A is listed under Tariff No. 29072300 in Customs Tariff of Import and Export of the People's Republic of China.
In accordance with Article 28 and 29 of Anti-dumping Regulations of People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce decided to take anti-dumping measures by deposit in security as of March 22, 2007.
Deposit in security rates are as follows:
I. Companies of Japan: 1.Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. 6.2% 2.Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation 8.6% 3.All Others 37.1% II. Companies of ROK: 1. KUMHO P&B CHEMICALS, INC. 6.9% 2. LG Petrochemical Co., Ltd. 7.9% 3. All Others 37.1% III. Companies of Singapore: 1. MITSUI PHENOLS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. 6.0% 2. All Others 37.1% IV. Companies of Taiwan Region: 1. Nan Ya Plastics Corporation 6.0% 2.CHANG CHUN PLASTICS CO., LTD. 6.0% 3.Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corporation 5.3% 4. All Others 37.1%
The relevant interested parities could apply written comments, with related evidence, to Ministry of Commerce for consideration within 20 days as of the date this announcement is issued.
