Official Information:
The International Conference on "Horizons in Hydrogen Bond Research" is a bi-annual conference series with a long tradition, which brings together the diverse fields of science where hydrogen bonding plays an important role. This workshop is the twentieth in a series of conferences on hydrogen bonding, which was initiated in 1977 in Poland. Although the hydrogen bond concept is almost a century old, new aspects are continuously uncovered, e.g. in biomolecular recognition, in ionic liquids, or in functional materials. Furthermore, exciting new technological developments and theoretical advances provide unprecedented insights into the intricate dynamics of hydrogen bonds.
During the 20th International Conference on "Horizons in Hydrogen Bond Research" we intend to focus on novel experimental and/or theoretical approaches that are used to study the intrinsic properties of, and the large scale effects due to hydrogen bonding and other non-covalent interactions including, amongst others, halogen bonding. |
