每年一届的“上海国际化工机械展（CICIF）”在业界享有盛名，经过三年的专业积累，化工机械展不断刷新展出规模，到04年展出面积已超过12000平方米，参展厂商达到370家，分别来自美、法、英、德、日、西班牙、意大利、斯洛文尼亚、新加坡、韩国及中国的香港、台湾等20多个国家和地区，专业观众达39307人次。
为满足“CICIF”不断壮大的需要，展会并改在农药肥料销售黄金时间2005年11月12日-14日举办。其宽阔的展示空间和完美的展示效果为国内外展商提供一个全新而又充满商机和魅力的舞台。
为了更好地体现展览会的专业性、广泛性，本届展会将根据展品大类划分展区， 并设立鲜明的“主题展区” 以更好地促进参展商与观众的沟通及交流、更准确地展现参展商的企业形象及产品，吸引更多观众的参与。
